Homeschoolers Need To Prepare for Paperwork

Paperwork
As you might have figured out by now, everything you will be doing in college is going to involve some manner of paperwork. Luckily, though, most places are moving a lot of the paperwork to computers, which will make things easier for everybody.

Regardless, a lot of the necessary ‘paperwork’, be it on computer or actually on paper, is going to be very similar from place to place.

Application
This is generally going to be the first thing you will have to fill out. If your application does not pass the screening process, then you will have no need to complete any further paperwork.

Generally speaking, the loftier the institution, the more complicated the application will be. Most tech schools will likely require only a minimum of information on the application. However, as you start moving up to the more prestigious colleges they will want more essays (remember that topic?) and will show more interest in your extra curricular activities (remember those?) and so forth.

Deposit
When you are accepted, you will sometimes be required to make a deposit. This deposit is usually refundable up until a certain date. So if you decide on some other school, make sure you don’t miss your deadline to get your money back.

If you accept that school, in most cases, your deposit will be applied to your first year tuition.
